It is the first point of scientific and cultural radiation established in this ancient province in 1976 to embrace this venerable institute of the eternal fire of Kirkuk, to add a bright light in its sky, and to paint signs of brightness on the future of its graduates, and it currently includes sixteen scientific departments in engineering, administrative, medical, applied and agricultural arts disciplines, The institute currently includes (112) teaching staff, (378) technicians, (41) administrators, who contribute to teaching and training (3736) students for morning studies and (736) students for evening studies, and the institute includes (66) classrooms, (47) scientific laboratories. (19) computer labs, (20) specialized training workshops and (4) ceremonies, in addition to other vital facilities such as the student club, the central library, the interior departments (2), a studio for the care of students gifted with plastic arts, a closed sports hall, a football field, ( 4) Basketball, volleyball and tennis courts, in addition to other service facilities.


Building the institute on a bright plateau to be at the helm of advanced scientific institutions in Kirkuk governorate to provide its highly professional educational and skills services in addition to its scientific consultations through its multi-disciplinary advisory office, in line with the policy and strategy of the Technical Education Authority and its future ambitions.
