BRIEF DESCRIPTION

The department of mechanical power techniques has been established in 1988/1989, the students from high schools – (scientific branch) and vocational education – (air condition and refrigeration branch) only can be enrolled in this department

AIMS OF THE DEPARTMENT

The essential aim of this department is to train and guide the student to technical and scientific skills and knowledge by an efficient and specialized staff and updated curriculum to meet the demand of the labour sector.

GRADUATED DESCRIPTION:

The department of mechanical power techniques aims to prepare and provide an efficient and qualified technical staff to:

1- be able to contribute in preparing mechanical and electrical diagrams for the air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

2- be able to contribute in Installation, operation and maintenance process of air conditioning and refrigeration systems.

3- Select the proper capacity based on the cooling and heating load calculations for air conditioning and refrigeration systems

4- be familiar with utilizing computerized controlling system.
